We have an exciting opportunity Nationwide for an enthusiastic and motivated healthcare assistant who want to make a difference in our client/customer’s lives. A comprehensive professional training programme will be provided to you, including on-the-job training, e-learning, and access to our in-house education resources.
Role Specific Duties:
- To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed with standards under the direction of the Senior Carer/Nurse
- To support and enable Customers to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual
- To maintain skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time-to-time to maintain and progress knowledge
- Ensure Customers are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing

To contribute to the efficient running of the service

Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support Customers are followed

Be responsible for informing the Senior Carer/Nurse of any changes in the needs of Customers
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
- Support Customers to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community
Working with Others:
- Develop effective working relationships with other employees within Unique Personnel (UK) Ltd.
- Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for Customers
- If desired by the Customer, maintain and develop relationships with family, friends and other people important in their life
Communication Skills
- HCA must build rapport with Customers by establishing personal connections and showing interest in their lives
- HCA must be able to communicate effectively with Customers
- HCA must have the communication skills to inform colleagues, management and professionals about the needs of Customers
Requirements:
- Must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent;
- International Diploma in nursing or Health Care Assistant
- Minimum have at least NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent and working towards level 3;
- Ideally previous experience in hospital and healthcare setting;
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team;
- Have a positive and dynamic approach to providing safe and effective delivery of care;
- Excellent communication skills (oral + written) with fluency in English.
